Lake Argyle, resort style camping, an infinity pool set against a red gorge wall rising up from the lake, live music at sunset, happy hour, giant jenga, doggy paddling with dogs, morning yoga, jumping off pontoons and adventures on kayaks. We reconnected with The Jumping Family here and shared stories from the latter part of the Gibb of power failures and failed river crossings. The caravan park and campground the only thing here save the boat hire and lake cruise company. Hikes down Jessie’s Trail to swim on the lake offered freshwater swimming and gave respite from the crowds up at the resort. Alex refrained from joining us for much of this, uh oh, he’s got Covid! Have to figure out a plan, aim for bush camp isolation and desperately hope none other of us catches it as the Marinos family are headed to meet us in a week!
