Another spectacular camp spot, and fascinating. The continent’s interior so full of surprises, and these are the just the ones we have permission to be privy to! Lake Ballard, slippery, clay underfoot. Salt flats for miles peppered with 51 Antony Gormley sculptures, eerie and utterly awesome. Commissioned for the 50th anniversary of the Perth Festival in 2003, and created from 3D scans of people from the area, the installation tells us of people here, connected to country, since time immemorial.
